Drama No More: Melo to the Knicks

Last night, the Denver Nuggets and New York Knicks finally agreed to a trade that would send All-Star Carmelo Anthony to New York, in exchange for a first round pick, Raymond Felton, Wilson Chandler, Danilo Gallinari, and Timofey Mozgov.  Now that the news is hot off the presses, sports journalists across the country are beginning to weigh in on the trade’s impact.  We here at 25twofour will give you OUR take tomorrow, but in the meantime, check out what a few Around The Horn legends had to say…

In Denver, Woody Paige essentially argues that the trade “makes sense,” as Melo wanted to play for a championship, and that wasn’t going to happen anytime soon in Denver.  Here’s his take: Nuggets Can Only Hope 1984 Knocks On Their Door

In Los Angeles, J.A. Adande evaluates the trade but also provides commentary on whether or not the new CBA will allow for these kinds of opt-out options in the future.  His take is here: Nuggets Not Left for Dead by Melo

We’re curious to hear what y’all have to say, before we settle the debate tomorrow.  Your thoughts on Melo to the Knicks?
